Meet beautiful Bailey! This sweet girl was brought to us by a Good Samaritan who found her eating trash. She was extremely thin and riddled with parasites, but after several medical treatments and a careful refeeding plan, this lovely lady is doing so much better.Bailey is a big love bug and just wants all the attention you could give her. We don't know how she is with cats, and with dogs here in shelter she seems okay meeting friends through the fence, but she can be pretty protective of her food if they get too close. Bailey would do best in a home where she doesn't have to share with other dogs, so she can be the queen of her castle.Bailey walks nicely on the leash and our dog walkers all love taking her out. She can get a little bouncy when she is excited to see you but she is working real hard on keeping all four feet on the ground. She has been an absolute angel for all her vet treatments and baths.Bailey tends to eat very quickly, so we have been feeding her with slow feeders and puzzle toys, which she loves. She is a very clever girl and has gotten very good at her puzzles. Although she has gained a substantial amount of weight, she still has a little ways to go, so her new guardian will need to help her continue to bulk up.If Bailey sounds like a good fit for you, please send in an application!https://spca.bc.ca/survey/dog-adoption-application-comox/
