A Little Bit About Me

Meet Rocket, the handsome floofy boy with the big personality, who is ready to find his fur-ever home! This very friendly feline is eager to shower his new family with affection and entertain with his energetic antics. Rocket's outgoing and playful spirit make him the perfect companion for anyone seeking a fluffy friend. He loves attention, cuddles, and being brushed, but also zooming around his room playing with his toys. If you're ready to open your heart to a sweet and sociable cat, Rocket is the one for you. Adopt Rocket today and let the love and cuddles begin!

We don't know much about this man of mystery's history as he came in to the SPCA as a stray. We know he has been around other cats but we don't know how he would feel about sharing his home with a dog, small animal, or children. With proper slow introductions we think Rocket could probably be fine with animals and kids as he seems to get along with most anyone, though he may be a bit too rambunctious for really small children.
When Rocket came to the SPCA he was suffering from a severe upper respiratory infection which was quite persistent. After multiple rounds of antibiotics his symptoms (sneezing, congestion, nasal discharge) have finally cleared up. Adopters will need to be prepared, however, for the possibility that he may be prone to URI as he could now be a carrier for Calicivirus (a virus causing URI and contagious to other cats). We recommend Rocket either be the only cat in the home or make sure that other cats are either already exposed to calici or kept up to date on vaccines. Rocket needs to be an indoor only cat as well.

An adoption counseling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal.
